Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for training plant electricians in electronic drive systems as well as troubleshooting electrical and electronic control systems.
Duties:
- Follow all Libbey safety procedures and policies and support company policies, procedures, goals, & objectives
- Design/develop and implement process controls for automated and semi-automated equipment used in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Analyze processes and help identify ways of enhancing quality, cost, and throughput of those processes
- Design/develop and implement control systems and electrical systems along with HMI interfaces
- Provide troubleshooting and process improvement assistance to production and maintenance personnel
- Work closely with production and maintenance departments to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees
- Develop an understanding of plant power systems to provide assistance with plant needs
- Develop an understanding of plant supply systems to allow for more plant development of controls and processes
