Key Technical Competencies/Knowledge
7+ years’ experience in Database Administration of Microsoft SQL Server
Database performance tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting, including server and query health
Relational database schema design and optimization including normalization/denormalization
Data Warehousing experience - design, build and maintenance
ETL expertise, including Integration Services
Security - Monitoring and enforcement, Identity/Group Access Management
HA and DR Expertise - always-on, replication, mirroring
Backup and Storage Maintenance
T-SQL Programming Expertise
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Desired Skills
Analysis Services
Oracle
Open Source RDBMS (ex: MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Cloud knowledge and experience, including cloud databases and data warehousing (ex: Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RedShift, Azure Cosmos DB)
NoSQL and Big Data - MongoDB, Apache Spark, Hadoop or similar
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD principles and practices
Team Lead/Management experience
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science preferred.
Experience
7+ years of experience in Application development
Experience in Investment Banking or financial markets industry will be advantage
