Job Description of Operation Manager
- Build a network of vendor partners ranging from large fleet owners to fleet aggregators across Bengaluru
- Setting up criteria for right and capable vendor partners, identifying and connecting with fleet owners and aggregators through cold calls, networking and leveraging existing contacts
Do intensive research on market pricing and best practices across ETS (Employee Transportation Services, tours & travels, taxi and cab rental industry.
Create rate charts for vendors based on above research and current trends in the industry as per city
- Get rate approvals from vendors and do due diligence before onboarding them as fleet partners
- sign up of contracts, onboarding of vehicles and drivers and training of vendors and drivers on technology
- Arrange vehicles and rates for Adhoc/on-call vehicle demands at customized rates whenever required
- Provide best possible vendor rates to TL of client facing teams for retaining a good margin on every trip
- Develop and optimize processes, scale new processes to allow the business to efficiently operate and grow.
- Develop strategy for handling operations and implement them.
- Take on new opportunities i.e development of new market, adding new services
- The candidate has to maintain very good vendor and team relations
- Evaluate various parameters associated with vendors and drivers i.e pricing, incentives, discounts etc.
- Prioritize the projects which should be beneficial for the company and set an aggressive timeline to reach the goals.
- Driven and self motivated to take any challenge.
- Might be required to onboard and develop vendor partners for rest of South India as well in the future
Requirements for the Post
1. The candidate must be having 2-4 years of experience in tour & travels, transportation, fleet vendor on boarding, fleet operations management and/or sales of transportation technology to fleet owners.
2. Experience of handling operations in the Cab industry, Car rental, Fleet, Courier, logistics, Taxi business or similar businesses and experience in working with multi-functional teams will be given additional preference. The candidate must be Social, extrovert, Market savvy, with very good Communication skills.
