Job Summary
The person must have telecommunications experience and have the ability to travel as needed.

• Responsible for the terminating, splicing, bonding/grounding, documenting and testing of all fiber optic cables within the systems fiber optic networks and their related equipment with the end goal of providing maximum operating efficiency.
• Install, repair, maintain, test proof or adjust, as needed, all fiber optic cables and related equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties
1. Ability to install, trouble-shoot, splice and maintain fiber optic systems.
2. Prep and hang fiber optic enclosures, nodes, and related equipment.
3. Need to take DPs Permission. (Required)
4. May occasionally perform routine construction work such as pulling rope/cables, climbing ladders, using hand tools, digging with a shovel, etc.
5. Conducting regular inspections of the systems with the aim of locating and repairing any defects detected during the inspections.

Qualifications and Skills
A minimum of 2-year experience in construction, underground (i.e.manhole/vault), or cable (i.e. installation, splicing, termination, etc.).
