What we are looking for:
We are looking for a *Technical Content Writer* to produce high-quality content and documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. Day to day, you’ll be a force for simplicity and clarity - collecting information from product managers, support and engineering, and turning it into something people can actually understand. You’ll own the organisation of our documentation, faqs and other educational resources.
Responsibilities:
• Producing high-quality content that is appropriate for its intended audience
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Produce high-quality content (blog/guides/docs/ebooks/tutorials) that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
• Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers
• Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding
• Create and maintain the information architecture
About you:
• 1.5+ years’ experience in technical writing of software product
• Comfortable writing for varied audiences (analysts, administrators, non-technical end users and developers)
• Seasoned technical writing background and able to provide samples of prior work
• Technical Background (training in CS or Quantitative/STEM fields a plus)
• Familiarity with databases
• Familiarity with analytics and business intelligence
• Proven ability to write in a tutorial, step-by-step fashion that guides new users through unfamiliar technologies
